XC Speed Demon: Trek Supercaliber Review If you are looking to squeeze every bit of speed out of the trail with a little more comfort than a hardtail, Trek's new race weapon could be for you.

  1. Agile, sporty feel
  2. Stiff frame, great power transfer
  3. Open shock mode is more dynamic and efficient than other bikes in this category
  4. Lively geometry, very good cornering ability
  5. Good brakes and wheels
  6. Unique looks
  7. Simple frame layout with only two bearings
  1. 60 is not 100
  2. Short reach and steep head angle are not so confidence-inspiring
  3. Proprietary rear shock
  4. Unique looks
  5. Heavy frame for the price and amount of travel

Tyler Benedict

The Trek Supercaliber stole the show with it’s ultra sleek looks and unique IsoStrut shock design, but how does it ride? We put it through the paces on our local cross country trails to see just how fast it really is.

In terms of price and technology, the Supercaliber stands out in this test. For a hefty 12099 euros, you get the perfect package: Just hop on and go.

Gran Fondo Magazine

  1. Innovative full suspension system
  2. Extremely wide range of applications
  3. Provides a lot of confidence and security in many situations
  4. Offroad speed allrounder
  1. Cable mess at the cockpit
  2. Missing dropper post unnecessarily limits the range of use
