Great kit, proportions and ride feel help make the new alloy Mega Pro a formidable machine over any terrain
- Solid spec sheet
- confident, ground-hugging ride, especially in the rough stuff
- nice angles and good shape
- More pop than the last bike but still not as lively as some big travel enduro rigs
Our jaws still drop when we think about how fast we flew down the trails aboard the Nukeproof Mega 290 Alloy Pro! This bike pushes your limits without you even trying. The suspension of the Mega 290 is unrivalled, offering incredible reserves and, together...
- the suspension is indescribably good
- balanced, quick and easy to control
- very quiet
- small weaknesses in the components
- too much bike for easy, flat trails
- details of the aluminium frame look rudimentary

Nukeproof updates its sucessful Mega race bike - revised geometry and extra sizes all with space for a bottle, but is the new Nukeproof Mega 290 better?
- Great geometry
- fit
- standover and size options
- with all riders benefitting from longer dropper posts. Pedals like stink
- even with the draggy Michelin tyres. Killer value for a shop-bought enduro bike.
- Rear suspension would benefit from a lighter damping tune on the Fox Float X2 shock. Brake pad rattle will drive you nuts.
