The Marin Alpine Trail Carbon 2 is designed for those seeking big all-mountain adventures where both suspension travel and geometry play a crucial role. Built for demanding enduro riders who earn their downhill thrills, this fully-suspended 29-inch bike is ready to tackle any challenge with an aggressive enduro-style approach. With 160mm of front travel and 150mm of rear travel, the Alpine Trail Carbon 2 is equipped to handle rough and technical terrain. The frame features a unidirectional carbon fiber front triangle paired with a Series 4 alloy rear end, 29” wheels, and a 150mm travel MultiTrac suspension platform for maximum performance. For reliable stopping power, Shimano SLX 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes and a 203mm rotor in the front, along with a Shimano SLX rear derailleur with a 12-speed drivetrain, ensure smooth gear shifts and precise control in all conditions. The Fox 38 Performance Elite fork and Fox Float X Performance shock deliver superior damping for a plush and responsive ride. With robust Marin alloy wheels that are tubeless compatible, the Alpine Trail Carbon 2 is ready for wild rides and epic descents.

Big fun on a (relatively) small budget
- Geometry tweaks make it an even better descender
- super-active rear suspension
- worthy of upgrading when you have the cash
- Annoying cable rattle
- a few minor spec grumbles
- heavy for a carbon bike
Jessie-May Morgan
